`Clifford’s Tower Flowers’

I lived in York for some time and frequently passed Clifford’s Tower. I particularly enjoyed the array of wild flowers which swathe the mound. The Tower has been photographed and painted many times in its history. I wanted to find a different angle, foregrounding the flowers and relegating the Tower to the background.
I was especially pleased when a leading solicitors commissioned this image to be enlarged onto a 2m x 1.9m canvas to grace their reception area.
