Journey 2

Journey 2 has since been sold. The idea for this was inspired by a Chinese style painting which depicted small flowers on a bright Emperor Red background.

I was painting over a canvas I had used in a workshop to show techniques. I painted the background first, then `just wondered’ what would happen if I used my new flat edged palette knife to scrape away tracks of paint.
