Journey 5 .My abstract Roseberry Topping came about because I was aware that my journey was taking me right away from realistic landscapes. The patchworks of hills and various colour pattern mimic nature, but in a very stylised way.  The splash of orange and the gold ladder giving a surreal impression.  Some people think you have to `understand’ a painting.  In my view the purpose of art is merely to create an emotion or to make us think.
